Our two professionally led jazz groups approach jazz from opposite directions. Think of it as an East Coast / West Coast rivalry – just with considerably better manners.

Jazz Combo is New York: smaller, more intimate and
built around improvisation. It's is about listening,
creating and responding together. Expect musical conversations, creative freedom and the joy of making something unique every time you play.

It's music together, and welcoming, creative, fun for everyone.

About Jazz Combo

We play a lively mix of jazz, funk and Latin music, with plenty of room to make the music our own. Expect great grooves, interesting tunes and opportunities to explore improvisation. Whether you’re experienced or just getting started, there’s space to join in and have fun.

Rehearsals are interactive, relaxed and creative. The music can go anywhere! We’ll experiment with sounds, explore improvisation and sometimes make arrangements on the spot. Most importantly, we listen to each other, work as a team and enjoy making music together.

There are lots of chances to perform throughout the year, including regular gigs in the Dairy and concerts.

We meet for a weekly rehearsal, and regular attendance helps the group sound its best. Please arrive ready to start on time and get involved! Come ready to play, listen, experiment and have fun!
